Giving

Why?

“Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and test Me now in this,” says Adonai of hosts, “if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows. (Malachi 3:10)

And all those who had believed were together and had all things in common; and they began selling their property and possessions and were sharing them with all, as anyone might have need. Day by day continuing with one mind in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they were taking their meals together with gladness and sincerity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord was adding to their number day by day those who were being saved. (Acts 2:44-47)

tzedakah-boxGiving is a major facet of being part of a faith community. In order for us to be able to do the work that HaShem has called us to do, to provide a venue for worship and outreach as well as meet the needs of our congregants, it’s imperative that we all contribute. Giving of your finances is one tangible way to contribute to HaShem’s work.

Let us be known as a community of joyful givers!
