Beth Sar Shalom Messianic Congregation

We would like to invite you to consider our Messianic Ministry Intern or Short Term Ministry programs. Please use the contact information on this page to reach me (Messianic Rabbi Ben Alpert) and I’ll send you an application.

1) It’s in South Florida. Our region has the fourth largest Jewish population in the United States. The opportunities are plentiful and it is a great place to learn about Messianic ministry. Plus, let’s be honest, life in South Florida is awesome!

2) We are focused on YOU and your development. We don’t want you to be pushing papers in an office all day. Our intention is that you would grow spiritually while working in practical ministry activities through Bible studies, discipleship, and education regarding the Jewish community and evangelism.

3) The flexibility within our internship allows you to commit any length of time from 6 weeks to 6 months. Also, there is time built into the program for you to take college or graduate classes, or get a part-time job to help subsidize the expense of the internship.

· 1-2 Bible Studies/Discipleship Training Sessions per week (Evening)

· 3 days of unscheduled time (Higher Education, Part-time Jobs, Personal Study)

· Weekly Messianic Shabbat dinner and Services.

· Bi-weekly assignments (Biblical, Discipleship, Evangelism)

· Monthly evaluations by Internship Director

· Traveling with a an experienced teacher on deputation events

· Practical ministry during at least 2 work-week days

This is a dynamic program in which the ministry is focused on discipling and developing the intern rather than focusing on how the intern can serve the ministry. All the while, you will gain experience learning about Messianic ministry from actually doing the work.

This internship is for you if:

· You are between the ages of 18 and 50 (ok, we can stretch the 50, but no one under 18)

· You have a heart for people and Messianic ministry

· You are a college or graduate student, or

· You are simply looking for opportunities and experience in Messianic ministry.

Note: You do not have to be ethnically Jewish to apply for an internship

Dates: Internship sessions normally follow fall and spring college semesters. For example, September to December and January to May (We can be flexible with the dates of internships)
